Hah, sounds like a cheating wife in court complaining that her husband violated her right to privacy when he read her diary and found out she was getting plowed by every man in the neighborhood, including the neighbor who has herpes. I finally get time to really start playing again and this is what I find waiting for me?
Let's start out.
1) If I pay a subscription fee, I will not pay additional money beyond my sub fee.
a) I find it interesting this comes out after all the isk making nerfs become live...anyone else?
b) The Korean games are free to play. LOTR is free to play for the non premium users, who have the choice to purchase goodies to enhance game play. I saw no mention of eve becoming free to play. As pointed out, WoW does have RMT, for vanity items and charges a sub fee. c) You haven't been capable of balancing the ship types in game, however you want to introduce new wtfpwn items available through RMT for low skilled chars to compete with highly skilled chars?
"Equalizers are items that allow the players to play with or against substantially more powerful characters without completely eliminating the advantage of the powerful." -Priscilla Kim
d) Priscilla I've got 20M sp in core skills. My ship hp/dps/speed should outclass the noob by large numbers. -go **** yourself.
e) TRY FIXING HYBRIDS FIRST FFS. You complain about the difficulty of creating game balance, but want "equalizers" that I'm free to buy through company supported RMT (which is what it is).
f) "Equalizers" for a noob would require easy fitting skills that provide wtfpwn ability. Or you RMT sp.
g) This is why players don't complain (too much) about plex. You still have to have the sp and skills to fly what you buy.
h) The bitter vets say screw it and see how it goes. The get the wtfpwn ships of doom, and due to experience, they manage to survive 60% of fights with their RMTed ship. It's cool, ccp has that handled.
"Concepts such as planned obsolescence and perceived obsolescence thus play a key role (obsolescence referring to the deliberate shortening of a productĘs lifespan)." -Priscilla Kim (again)
f) so, essentially, the numbers (hp/dps/speed) will just get bigger to produce more RMT action. "This is in many ways because of the way we are raised as consumers: We shop therefore we are." -Kjartan Emilsson
You missed a part sweetheart: "Advertising has us chasing cars and clothes, working jobs we hate so we can buy **** we don't need. You're not your ****ing khakis" -Fight Club
Guess what, I don't need eve honey. Consider getting in touch with your male side, sweety, or get that operation done so you won't have to ever again. In the meantime, make me a sammich! "Metro"sexuals....whatcha gonna do...
to the other players: Yes some of the quotes are for other games, but do you think they won't apply it in eve?
But screw it, thanks ccp.
"It's only after you've lost everything," Tyler says, "that you're free to do anything." - Fight Club (the movie)
If this is gaming's new direction, I guess I'll find something to do outside. Gaming isn't everything, but it was my hobby. If game makers what to push my hobby in the drain players wallet category, go for it.
As for me I guess it's time to find a hobby. Going to register for dancing lessons to meet chicks. After all, if I'm going to get my wallet sucked dry, mah manmeat better get sucked dry too, o7. (was nicely formatted for readability, new forums ftl, cba to fix)
